This is the 1st round of the much anticipated 8-woman 135-lb tournament featuring Kaitlin Young (4-3), Shayna Baszler (9-6), Jennifer Tate (5-1), Jan Finney (6-7), Sarah Schneider (4-3), Liz Carreiro (5-5), Adrienna “AJ” Jenkins (16-2) and Megumi Yabushita (18-15). Amanda Buckner was scheduled to compete, but has had to unfortunately withdraw due to injury.
The first round match-ups are as follows:
Adrienna “AJ” Jenkins vs Sarah Schneider
Jan “Cuddles” Finney vs Liz Carreiro
Kaitlin Young vs Jennifer “Rosebud” Tate
Megumi Yabushita vs Shayna “The Queen of Spades” Baszler
