4th ranked Super Flyweight by the Unified Women's MMA Rankings, Cat Zingano (5-0) battles Japanese veteran, Takayo Hashi (13-3). Zingano was scheduled to face Angela Samaro in a rematch from their 2009 Colorado Fight of the Year, however due to an injury, Samaro was forced to withdraw. Now, on one week's notice, Zingano finds herself facing perhaps the toughest opponent of her career. Hashi is no stranger to top competition....holding notable victories over Hitomi Akano and Amanda Buckner, with her only losses coming at the hands of Akano, Sarah Kaufman and Tara LaRosa. Zingano is yet to taste defeat, winning her last outing via TKO over Carina Damm. |
