Blackeye Promotions presents 5 HUGE women's bouts:
*Its Olympian vs Olympian as Sara McMann (1-0) takes on Julie Malenfant (0-1). McMann was an Olympic silver medalist in wrestling for the United States, while Malenfant was a bronze medalist in weightlifting for her country of Canada. McMann won her pro debut against Christina Marks via a first round submission. Malenfant faced veteran Valerie Letourneau in her debut and lost via a second round TKO.
*Scrap Packs, Colleen Schneider (1-2) faces off against Vanessa Mariscal (1-0). Schneider is coming of a devastating 17 second TKO win over Amber Mann. Mariscal won her pro debut via submission over Jessica Halverson, however that was over 18 months ago.
*Schneider's Scrap Pack team mate, Kat Alendal (3-4) returns from a 2-year layoff to battle Ediene Gomes (6-2). Alendal has fought some of the top women in the sport, losing her last bout via decision to Julie Kedzie. Gomes also is coming off a loss in her last bout, getting submitted by Ronda Rousey via a first round armbar.
*Kelly Warren (3-0) looks to remain unbeaten as she meets tough veteran Avery Vilche (2-5-1-1). Warren is coming off a second round submission victory over Sarah Lacina. Vilche is also coming off a victory, a unanimous decision over Sarah Maloy.
*Angelica Brotherton (1-1) and Maryellen Cano (1-0) face off in a battle of powerhouses. Brotherton is coming off a very close split decision loss in her last fight to Patricia Vidonic, while Cano scored a first round submission against Linda Cunningham in her pro debut. |
