    Hello Ladies

Were having the South Pacific trials here in Australia next weekend to see if any of chicks over here are going to be invited,

Do you know of anyone else that has been invited yet?

Is 8 the total number of women in the ADCC fights or is it 8 for the 2 weight divisions and another 8 for the Absolutes?
Looks like the invitees so far are: the 3 Brazilians: Kira, Leka and Leteica and then Tara, Debi, Roxy, Gazzy, and Erica.

My understanding is it is 8/division and those fighters are welcome to also join the absolute.

I heard two other names you haven’t mentioned yet, so the divisions aren’t all publisized. One is American, one European. I note we also haven’t heard anything about the Japanese women but I don’t know how many to expect or what their grappling scene is like.

    Don’t you hate a tease 😆 ?,

I know some more names in the 60 KG and over.

but until they say I can post it, I can not 😯

I am still hoping that Felica O gets an invite in the 60 kg and under , she rocks and my fingers are crossed

The insiders are in the know. Venture a few guesses- America – Amanda Buckner or Laura D’August; Europe- Maybe Marloes; Japan: The gal Erica fought or how about “I got your back” Yabushita but w/o the gloves.

Felicia Oh would be a great addition.

I’m surprised we haven’t heard Felicia Oh’s name in the mix. There is also Jen Locke and Kelly Paul from Ralph’s I think, Rebecca Faber, Gamze, Nori (if not retired) and don’t forget Jessica Ross!

Whatever happened to Olga and Mayra?

Debi what weight class is your invite for?

    Posted yesterday on ADCC News:

“‘As for the newly announced women’s divisions, those invtiations are going out as we speak, and the filed will be announced soon’ the spokesman announces. ‘Many of the invitations are being accepted by the women’s division, and it certainly will be history in the making for women’s martial arts. We will announce the field in the coming weeks.’ ”

Chad-C’mon, I work for ADCC News. No way am I missing the boss’ boss’ boss’ main show when it happens in the US. Blew off the last Worlds in Brazil and the North American qualifier in Canada but even *I’m* not irresponsible enough to miss the Worlds in one of two “my beat” states. Even not counting supporting the women’s divisions nothing short of a badge and gun will stop me (keep your fingers crossed!). I’ll drop you a line about March 18th as soon as plans firm up.

Quite aware where my travel money comes from,

I was wondering that if the under 60kg we have Tara, Amanda, and Roxi. I was told that there was going to be 3 Americans for each weight class does that mean Erica did not make the cut????

Hey Chad.. I was told that we will have 4 American girls in the tourney at each weight. Two seated in the brkts.. and two as alternates..
I would expect Erica’s name to round out the 4 Americans..

How weird is that? Megumi Yabushita is OVER 60 kilo, while I’m sure she could get below easier than I could. O_o; Also, I think we all asumed Erica Montoya was going to fight, but she’s not there? Damn I might fight Tara or Megumi Fuji….hmmm I better go do my homework

I’m really shocked Erica is not in the mix. She must have a prior commitment or something. I also read confirmation from Felicia Oh’s teammates that she was a first alternate for the under 60 kg and she is not listed either. This is a stacked division and Gazzy and Nori are VERY tough no-gi competitors.
