Anybody familiar with this promotion, or what the skill level of its female competitors are? They seem to have a lot of women’s bouts on their events; some events appear to contain single-elimination tournaments with women, like UFC -style. This is very uncommon-the last time I can think of when women competed in NHB/MMA elimination tournament in U.S. was IFC 5 Battle on the Bayou in 1997.

I just took a fight with the AFA, it was wild! I have had two MMA fights and my fight had two or three. (Alisa Cantwell) She was tough too! The guys they had sucked, but they sure like to see women fight in Iowa. I would work for them again. To answer your question they get alot of first time women fighters.

I would guess the level of women AFA fighters to lie between Toad Holler and HnS.

Maybe you could tell us how you won, and describe the match for us.

I won on the cards. I had the take-downs and was on top most of the time. I had to cut weight for this one so I was running on empty for the whole fight. I dont want to have to do that again, but never say never. We have a rematch in out future.
