    Dear groundfighter,

    We are proud to present the 3rd Amsterdam Cup GI & NO GI at March 4th! Besides a moneyprice of 250 EURO for the winner in the open class NO GI (submussion wrestling/grappling) there is also a kimono for the most technical Gi-fighter. For every winner in each category there are ofcourse beautiful medailles 🙂

    We would like to invite you for the 3rd Amsterdam Open on Sunday 4 th of March. The tournament will be Jiu Jitsu as well as Grappling and we will have beginner and advanced categories.

    THE WINNER OF THE NO GI OPEN CLASS WILL GET 250 EURO AND A TROPHY!!! THE MOST TECHNICAL GI FIGHTER WILL WIN A GI !!! THE MOST TECHNICAL FEMALE FIGHTER WILL WIN A BEAUTY PACKAGE FROM NIVEA!!!

    JIU JITSU
    The rules for Jiu Jitsu are the official rules of the CBJJ
    Beginner is a White Belt and fights will last 5 minutes.
    Advanced is Blue Belt and higher and fights will last 6 minutes
    (only straight leg locks will be allowed and no biceps locks)

    GRAPPLING
    The point system of the CBJJ will be used, but without advantages. All arm locks (including biceps lock), all leg locks (including heel hook, toehold etc) and straight neck cranks (no twisted neck or spine attacks) will be allowed.

    Beginner is a White Belt or has less then 1,5 year of experience with ground fighting.

    Advanced is Blue Belt and up or more then 1,5 year of experience with ground fighting.

    PRIZES
    The winner of the Open Class Grappling will get 250 euro and a trophy. Medals will be awarded for the 1 st, 2nd and 3rd place. The Most Technical GI Fighter will win a GI.The Most Technical Female Fighter will win a beauty package from Nivea.

    WEIGHT CLASSES & INSCRIPTIONOfficial CBJJ weight classes: -67kg, – 73 kg, – 79 kg, -85 kg , 91 kg , 97 kg, + 97 kg
    Weight classes females: -60 kg & +60 kg

    Inscription can be only made until March 2nd by sending an email to: amsterdamopen@gmail.com

    (LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!!)
    In your email; mention your name, weight class and level (beginner/advanced).

    The inscription fee is 15 euro for Jiu Jitsu or Grappling.
    For both Jiu Jitsu and Grappling the fee is 20 euro. This fee can be paid at the weigh-in. First 70 inscriptions will receive a Keiko Raca T-shirt & Mini Kimono gadget for free.

    Weigh-in is at 9.00 am and competition starts at 10.00 am

    could you put the full results for the women on here?

    Really enjoyed the tournament, will definately be back next year.

    Lisa, it was great to have you on the tournament! too bad you didn’t fall in the prices, but you should be proud with your game:) very tight! you did a great job with laurence! kick ass with your fight end of this month 😀

    are you planning to go to the Mundials in CA?

    Not sure about mundials, I need to save up some money for the flights.
