they have started a thread for “Best female fights of 2007” and so I thought I’d start one here and get your opinions too. My “Top 5” female fights of 2007 would be:

1 – Gina Carano’s decision win over Julie Kedzie. This was the fight that put Women’s MMA on the map. It was the first time that female MMA fighters got to showcase their skills on a world-wide stage and these ladies didn’t disappoint, going toe to toe for the full 3 rounds.

2 – Tara LaRosa submitting Kelly Kobold in round 4 to win the 135 lb BodogFIGHT Championship.

3 – Julie Kedzie’s decision win over Kelly Kobald in a 3 round war.

4 – Megumi Fujii submitting Lisa Ward at end of round 1 in their battle for lightweight supremacy.

5 – Kaitlin Young knocking out 3 fighters in one night to win the Bodog/Hook-n-Shoot 8 Woman tournament. Kaitlin KO’ed Suzie Smith in :22 seconds, Meisha Tate in :30 seconds and Patti Lee in :53 seconds. Kaitlin is now 4-0 with 4 KO’s and will be fighting again in Feb 08.

    Julie Kedzie vs Julia Berezikova

A lot of FFF fights could be up there, but we’ll never know because we never saw the videos.
