    Hey Kat-

You’re going on this show too?! Good for you. I put my name in but I’m still waiting to hear back. Hopefully we’ll see you there. If not, I’ll see you guys in Iowa.

    Hey,

I hope to be fighting on the Iowa show. I have to make sure that he’s willing to pay our travel expenses. That’s standard for promoters up here- they pay your travel, food & hotel. If not, then I won’t go. I have to pay someone to cover us at work & for childcare. That I don’t mind paying, but not the other stuff. We’ll see. I’ll probably know by tonight.

I’d really like to fight on this show, but I haven’t heard back from them.

    Liz.

ehh… I think Pete is a little cheap on the whole travel costs thing. Last time we fought in one of his shows he just paid us $100 each for travel expenses plus hotel costs. It’s possible he’ll be more generous this time, but I doubt it.

I love fighting & everything but not enough to run up my credit card. I’ll talk to him again tonight & see what’s going on.

If you decide to fight MMA I could get a promoter to fly you up here. They pay us to fight up here! 😀

I’m still waiting to find out about Iowa. If I get booked & everything’s set up ok I may have a girl for Kat’s category. I have e a sparring partner that is in that weight class. I’ll see her in a few days & ask her if she’s interested.

    FYI

The IKF/ISCF draws the line between professional and amateur fighters in the following way: If you fought professionally or was paid a purse to fight in boxing, kickboxing or MMA, then you cannot fight as an amateur in any of those sports.

Here all MMA fights are considered pro, even if it’s your 1st fight. So once I fight MMA here, I can’t fight amateur Muay Thai or MMA in the US under IKF/ISCF sanctioning.

I understand why they do it. You don’t want a pro boxer going against a 1st time amateur kickboxer. But, with the MMA sanctioning varying from different locations, this doesn’t really work.
