Eating vast amounts of chocolate (especially after a fight) helps cure the flu, fevers, strep throat, and the common cold. Agree or disagree?

(don’t take this statement too seriously) 😛

I always eat a little chocolate about an hour before a fight or competition – good stuff! You have to get the really dark chocolate though, at least 65% cocoa. 8)

bah, chocolate is the cure for all ills. 😆 it is particularly effective in treating the highly fatal disease of “my boyfriend (etc) dumped me/left me for another woman/didn’t call or show up/etc” Doctor’s Recipe is: Several bowls of chocolate icecream, chased with hard liquor (tequila can cure anything too).

sometimes it’s just a matter of making sure you don’t rub yer fingers on your face after you eat those foods… according to most dermatologists anyways.

and yes, i’m extremely defensive about chocolate 😉

Folks, let’s not make choco “lite” of this issue…

*shhh*…don’t tell anyone but a little known cure for “that time of the month” is a c2o Ghirardelli IV drip (substitute with Guittard if you’re lactating).

Also, if you boil your mouthguard in Creme de Cocoa and Patrón it will add about 12.4 % velocity to your thrust kicks.

    (( 😛 ))

Chocolate helps regenerate and release seratonin…the happy chemical in your brain. This is why a lot of people who experience depression or use a lot of psychoactive drugs experience chocolate cravings…not to mention the way we feel when good old “Aunt Flo” is in town….

I voted yes, but not for the reasons stated in the original message.

I heard somewhere that it contains antioxidants. It also craved by those who are depressed.

Enough with talking about the ‘c’ word! I’m trying to cut down some weight here!!! It’s hard enough with easter eggs everywhere round the place, then i come onto to fightergirls to where i thought i can happily munch on my carrot sticks and there i go and get reminded all about chocolate again!

btw it wasn’t me that voted no, i have a super sweet tooth which is a pain in the ass at times like these… 😥

    Anthea

p.s. I have one little tiny piece of dark chocolate a day as my “treat” when i’m trying to lose weight… except today i accidently “scoffed” 4 pieces…
