I was wondering if people ever had dreams where they were training, or having a competition? If so, were you all nervous waking up, or were you kicking butt or what?

lol this is terrible, but the other day when I fell asleep in class…….*cough* one second I was listening to my linguistics teacher and then suddenly dodging and slipping Dave’s punch, stepping out, coming around getting ready for a kick and then WHOA *blink* I’m back in class! 😀 I seem to do that more than actual DREAM dreams.

I’ve had several fighting dreams–the ones of childhood and early adulthood end in me being overpowered, rather than actually hurt. (like the smothered feeling of being submitted) Other times I see a bunch of white dobok’s on blue mat’s doing drills/other class situations. Few sparring dreams. Recently I dreamt I used this really awesome insult I made up on someone and woke up laughing. The others are waking/daydreams where I can see myself using really good technique + improvisation. [this helped me win state] –7 years ago.. I know “wake up, now, it’s 2004” … and all of that stuff, right? –yeah okay!

I have dreams where I am fighting all the time but usually is all street type of fights. I usually end up wakeing up cause in my dream I will be throwing a punch and I will end up physically jerking my shoulder as though I just punched and it normally wakes me up.

i have fight dreams a lot. especially during training for competition or when i’m not training. i kicked ASS the other night, man. whoa!

then once, before my fight, i had a dream that i was punched in the face by my opponenent and my jaw just caved in. i lost all my teeth. i woke up and looked in the mirror to make sure all me teeth were there. i think i was having anxiety about her being a boxer and me having never boxed until 8 days before my fight. 🙄
