EliteXC’s Gina Carano has been cast as “Crush” on the upcoming revival of the American Gladiators series, according to the American Gladiators Fan Site.

Carano (5-0) last fought at the Sept. 15 EliteXC Uprising event in Honolulu, Hawaii, submitting Tonya Evinger via rear naked choke in the first round. She is the daughter of former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Glenn Carano.

The relaunch of American Gladiators premieres on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 9pm ET on NBC. The show will be hosted by former WWE pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and former boxing champion Laila Ali.

Not sure if anyone has heard the story about Hulk Hogan I was told that his son and a friend were in a bad car accident were Hulks kid was driving.. There was news that a divorce would try to save some of the assets of hulkster and family..

I had a brief crossing with Hulk Hogan in 1989 or 1990 were he was a real ass to someone that wanted an autograph..

    Long live the Mullet Hulk!!!

I noticed that during the American Gladiators promo, they intruduced all the Gladiators except for Gina. I wonder why is that.

It was just like it use to be…not better…not worse.
Fine for a crappy syndicated show that you stumble across at a weird time on the weekend. Trying to make it a Prime Time network show is the only decision that I question. Hell, with all the crappy REALITY TV shows currently…probably not a bad idea after all.

Come on it was a good show, at least I liked it. That Asian girl that won the Eliminator really impressed me with her performance and her heart and determination.

Well, the new American Gladiator stole the rolling barrel prop from Ninja Warrior.
