“Following a ring entrance that saw her accompanied by former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett along with a flying v guitar, South Dakota native Shayne Baszler needed just 44 seconds into the first round to submit Jennifer Tate with an armbar during last night’s ShoXC telecast on Showtime.

The decisive nature of the victory even took Baszler by surprise.

“Honestly, I didn’t expect it to go that quickly,â€

That was a well controlled fight by Shayna. Excellent clinch and takedown. Controlled position and sweet armbar.

some of u may have already seen this news….
i got shocked and sent message to Sam Caplan to confirm “THE FACT” to CSAC.

Here we got the news officially…

Tate fails test for marijuana following ShoXC event

According to Sherdog.com, the California State Athletic Commission has announced that Jennifer Tate has failed a post-fight drug screening following her Oct. 26 bout against Shayna Baszler during a ShoXC card.

Tate, who was featured on the second season of the reality TV show “Fight Girls” on the Oxygen network, has been suspended for three months and fined $500. She retains the option of appealing the test result.

if it’s confirmed, what’s worse is not being able to properly assess the fight as well as the safety factors involved with fighting drunk or high. with training and a super high metabolism if a post-fight test is even positive that would likely indicate significant and recent use. partying or moderate use is fine imo but not when it affects your fighting and/or is to a point where you’ll test positive in a sanctioned bout. it is also not fair to Shayna who I’m sure only wants to test herself against fighters who are sober. if confirmed and not appealed I think an apology is also in order.
