It was a complete mismatch, Young was not only taller, the other girl looked like she could of fought at 125.

Funny you should type that Sako. Suzi had the hardest time making weight of all of the 135ers. Poor girl was miserable trying to cut. I weighed in the lightest at 133.

Doesn’t one of the announcers say something about Suzi previously weighing around 155?

Wow, that’s ironic, because she looked quite small next to you. Are you naturally 135?

I cut a bit to make 135. Its not a hard drop for me though, just cut the sodium the week of and its pretty comfortable.
Im also 5’9″, and I don’t know why I am listed everywhere as being 5’7″ or 5’8″. I think I am probably one of the taller 135ers.

I heard that Suzi has another fight lined up somewhere soon, so sounds like she got right back into it. I was glad to hear that. 😀

So hows Madame Spider`s Ju-jitu training is going? ooops “Mademoiselle Spider” is better for the young lady?

BTW, The Spider of UFC just earned $120,000 for bonuses, now ur turn.

I don’t think Elite XC gives out bonuses, at least I remember Gina saying she wished Elite gave out the same bonuses UFC guys get.

Yeah, Silva is looking nearly unbeatable right now!

I think you are right Sako, I’ve not heard any mention of bonuses in Elite.

The BJJ is coming along, I’ve been rolling a lot lately. I’m doing another tournament in a couple of weeks.

I think the fight bonuses are good for the sport because it motivates fighters to take more risks and be more exciting, and in turn makes for better fights for the fans and more money for the promotion.

I’m in complete agreement with you Sako. I’d be more motivated to take a risk anyway, if I knew I could get rid of my student loans:-)

Check it out, they put up another first round fight from the tourney. Jenn smile Vs Nicdali Calanic

I trained MT for about 2 years and had six amateur fights before I fought MMA. I did olypic style TKD before that, but that was almost exclusively kicking. It doesn’t count a whole lot for mma, but I feel like I am lying if I say I only trained for 2 years prior.
