I said I wouldn’t but DAMN, I’ve never seen so mnay people emerge as “stars” in one night.

To those who talked shit about Ginele’s record, eat shit! She’s only 20 years old and God forbid you fight the toughest girls in your first four fights.

Her opponent Molly gave a hell of a fight and made Ginele earn the win. Molly gave up MUCH weight (not making excuses).

What I’m saying is, even after the financial sodomy (thanks to the college game that sold 14,000 seats in 3 days), I’m going to do it again.

First weekend of March is the Arnolds (3-4 women’s matches). I’ll probably try to use the locals…Kellyn Heuhn, Jan Finney, etc.

May 2005, I’d like to do 4-5 women’s fights on a “supershow” in Evansville. Now, the big problem is, who is willing to fight one another with all the lovely, smiley photos we’ve seen.

It seemed the skill level was far beyond the first show.

Usually, by this point, I’m miserable but I was incredibly happy with EVERYONE’S performance. I’m still amazed at this point! The difficult choice will be seeing who is coming back to fill the limited number of slots.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THIS HAPPEN.

    Jeff,
Thanx for the show. Hopefully, you will be having another ALL-FEMALE show. I was disappointed to see the turn out on Sunday morning, not as much as you, I’m sure. I also thought there would be more local girls competing sunday morning. I assume the 2 in the black gis were local. Were they? I kept teasing my wife that I was going to sign her up for Sunday. 😆 I think she was a little worried that I would. I’m not that mean. Even I know that a 105 pounder with a bad leg and only 2 months of casual training wouldn’t last long. Maybe next time? 😉

Thanx again for giving them the opportunity to compete and the rest of us the opportunity to watch.

“I call BULLsh*t”~ Ginele lol (inside joke)

You’re so awesome, Jeff. 😀 So it’ll be a mixed card with men and women, right? I’m interested, unless something unforseen now comes up soon. Fighting Tara grappling made me realize that I can fight someone I really like….it might be different for NHB, but that remains to be seen. (not sure about heather…she’s like my “sempai” now. ug can’t think of an english translation for that….”big sister” maybe?) 🙄

and I know this is really impatient of me….but can we expect the DVD in a month? Less than that? more than that?

ah, jeff, you know i’m going to be barking up this tree again.

    roxy’s going to deny me a fight?! 😯 i can’t believe it!
nah, just kidding. i came home depressed because i thought i’d lost a few good opponents for my soft side. but then i think it just depends. at this point she is going to be too busy defending her win against debi, amanda, judy, etc, etc…

    whatdayathink?

oh, if jan fights again can we kill the barbie girl song?? i saw a few too many men adjusting their shorts during that intro. which reminds me…RIKKI! Why didn’t you let your hands go girl? She was backin’ up everytime you threw/ You showed GREAT heart but you coulda had that one girl!!!

    ciao for now…

Couldn’t help but notice that Christine Van Fleet was at Evolution. Any chance she’ll be fighting anywhere in the near (or distant) future?

I just got E-mail fron Christine, Her and her husband Steve are currently teaching Modern Army Combatives (MAC) is the Army’s MMA version of hand to hand, and the training is about to be required by every unit. They got in on the front lines and are doing amazing things.

She told me That as soon as she gets posted in Germany , she will look for matches in the UK and in Holland. Watch for great things from Vanfleet. I always figured if she kept on fighting she would be a champion.

I know, I know. I watched my fight for the first time yesterday and it really makes me angry. I know that my boxing is better than that. Being able to see all the opportunities that I missed just makes me realize that sparring in class is completely different from getting in the ring. Maybe next time I can have a clearer head.

It’s always hard to decide on an entry song. I find a new one every day…I wouldn’t personally come out to Barbie Girl, but…I think that was geared toward humor because some people were less than kind about Jan’s innocent appearance.
I did want to say that I worked hard with Jan on the ground but she pulled it off on the feet. Jan has a lot of potential, she’s quite a bit bigger than me but regardless, I often have to pull out all the stops when I roll with her.
Ricki fought a hard fight and my proverbial hat is off to her, I’m not fond of banging with Jan and Ricki brought it home. I wasn’t there but I was told there were a few times the crowd went nuts when she came back. Props! Hindsight is 20/20, I’m reminded of that on a regular basis.
And speaking of hindsight, my knee is back in shape and I am back in the gym working on the rest of me. I hit up the NAGA chicago and brought home a second place…I got beaten by a couple points in the final that I’m not sure where they came from but….
I think I could have given a better performance and I wanted to bring a gold back home but sh*t happens. 20/20…
Check out the underground for information on an amateur event that will also be happening Arnold weekend…it would be a great start for some beginners.
Stay way up ladies, everybody made me proud Nov. 6th/7th. There’s a reason some of us keep on the grind. 😈

    Yay Jeff!

You are great for the evolution of the sport.

    He XcashXmoneyX,

I thought the entry song and outfit were hilarious. It added personality and comic relief, if you will, to a very dangerous sport. It was kinda of cool because after she peeled off the outfit she “transformed” into a badass, kickass, punching machine!

Thanks, Del…that’s cool of you. People don’t really take Jan seriously, but she’s only been training like 8 months. She puts in 200% every time she works out or trains, and she’s got a lot of game. I’ve seen her get kicked in the neck in sparring and dropped, and people have to make her stop trying to come back. I haven’t seen her in a few weeks so I’m interested to get her narrative of the happenings, but I think she’s officially hooked on the whole thing.
I think I’m fighting or doing some kind of exhibition grappling thing Jan. 22nd at Scott Sheeley’s show, if anyone wants details email me at xtaporsnapx@aol.com and ill get some info from him.

Cool that you’re enthused to do anther show, Jeff. Amidst all the changes and last minute wranglings this show came out so well within the impromptu match-ups producing such good fights such as Roxy-Jenn and Molly-Ginelle plus the serendipity of having Jen’s prev. opponent cornering Roxy. It’s too bad about the basketball game that occurred on the same night but basketball rules in Indiana like football in Texas, hockey in Maine or being stuck in traffic at 6 am in L.A.

The Barbi song… I’ve heard the kid sing, “I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world.” That song? Pretty funny

Does this mean you going to have more than two HooknShoot events in Evansville next year?
