Now that we know about the revamped tournament line up with two new replacements, lets have a poll to see who you think will win the HooknShoot: Unleashed Eight-Woman Tournament on November 19th.

I’M PUTTING MY MONEY ON MS. KEDZIE.
I THINK SHE HAS THE DRIVE (EVIDENT BY THE HUGE WEIGHT LOSS).
SHE IS ALSO NOT AFRAID TO STEP UP AND FIGHT ANYONE.
I THINK IF SHE IS PATIENT AND WORKS POSITION NOT SUBMISSION SHE WILL DOMINATE.
    GOOD LUCK.

I didn’t vote because I know nothing about half of them. 😕

I am also saddened by Ginelle’s absense. 😥

I think I am the winner because I get to watch the whole thing. 😀

I’m not really sure who has the advantage. Like Anthony said, I don’t know half of them. I would have bet on Ginelle from the original line up; then Heather if Jeff had put her in….but now I’m not sure.

Yes!! now its 50/50. Not to sure who the other women are, but i am definintly rooting for molly 😉 ( her being my girl has nothing to do with it) Ms. Kedsie is going to be a machine though!! Good luck to both. BTW- i also want to say its really inspiring for julie to actually move down an entire wight class. Makes me want to be healthier too.

I picked Jules, but I agree that this tournament is a tossup.

One other thing. I forgot to add an ‘other’ choice in case there are any last minute replacements in the tournament. That is the second poll I forgot to include that category. IDIOT! 😡

I’ve seen Jan Finney fight a year ago she had tons of athleticism and heart. With a years worth of training she may have a really good shot. Good luck to all the girls though!

Did the poll close already? I posted it on Wednesday afternoon, and set it for 3 days.

Good luck to ALL fighters, boys and girls alike, tonight at the Coliseum ❗

Sure enough, Tanya Vlahac injures her arm, making this a seven-woman tourney. A couple of mens’ bouts were also nixed that night.

Here is how I rate the fighters from their performances in the ‘eight’-woman tournament:

    1. Julie Kedzie
    2. Molly Helsel
    3. Jan Finney
    4. Lisa Ward
    5. Kellyn Heuhn
    6. Missy Karr
    7. (tie)Mystee Blackwood and Tanya Vlahac

None of the above fighters made my top ten list of female MMA fighters 135lbs and under.

Have safe and happy Thanksgiving! 😀

You know, my performance wasn’t my best, but considering that my son’s father took off with him and legally there is nothing I can do until I can get it pulled into court—it’s amazing I’m even discussing further fights at this point.

Mystee, I’m sorry to hear that. Focus on what is important. Good luck!

    I think everyone did great..

    Pete.

P.S. Mark are you being funny? Tanya didn’t fight do to injury, she is having surgery on Monday. (I am glad you didn’t add Ginelle’s name to that list!)

P.P.S. Heck, you should add your name and mine while you are at it… We didn’t fight either!

    Not ”funny”; opinionated.

Tanya, Ginelle’s replacement, was still booked to fight within 24hrs of bell time. She was scheduled to fight; we weren’t. So Pete, we don’t make the list.

I WOULD PUT MS. KEDZIE IN THE TOP TEN AT THE 135 LB DIVISION.
SHE MUST BE ONE OF THE FEW AMERICAN FEMALE FIGHTERS THAT HAS EVER FOUGHT 3 MMA FIGHTS IN 1 NIGHT. THAT IS A HUGE UNDERTAKING THAT AT LEAST WARRANTS A TOP TEN RANKING.

there was no arm in…i was in half guard with the underhook and she had a headwrap. when i went to come into her for a reversal and i posted my other hand on the ground, her arm got up in my neck and she started to apply the guillotine, at which point i stood up for a high crotch but i didnt turn her body enough when we went down and she was able to get a half guard and stretch the guillotine out. my screwup….but it was not an arm-in.
