I have been into martial arts for 3 1/2 years now and I have recently began to train for a mma fight. I want to have the fight in June 2007. This allows enough time to permenently cut weight and achieve the proper skill. I would appreciate any advice someone can give to a newbie in the female mma/nhb group. Thanks

    Train with experienced fighters/coaches.

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone know how to get onto a fight card?

Well, I’m assuming you have previous fighting experience? Pardon my statement of the obvious, but you’ll want to get a few exhibition fights under your belt before you try any thing that will go on your record. It’s probably also a wise idea to try going in to competitions or train, against other martial artists, so that you can get a feel of what it’s like to fight someone with, say, a Muay Thai background.
    Just my $0.02!
    Good luck! 🙂
