Jesse James Leija’s 16 year career is reflective of a true champion: 2 World Titles, 9 World Title fights, defeated 15 World Contenders, 3 Olympians and retired with a record of 47-7-2 with 19 knockouts. Now Leija brings this championship performance to one of the purest forms of one-on-one competition on the planet today – mixed martial arts.

Mixed martial arts is a form of fighting that was introduced to the United States in 1993. The sport is based on the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts Combat which is a combination of the accepted Olympic rules for boxing, judo and wrestling, as well as the rules for professional kickboxing, and Brazilian jio-jitsu tournament rules.

Following the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation’s Combative Sports Code, Jesse James Leija’s A New Beginning will feature 10 professional mixed martial arts style cage fights.
