Maybe my translation is off, but according to her recent interview with SportsNavi, K-1 will be watching Tsuji’s bout with Tomomi with vested interest. The translation could also be her bout will steal attention from the MAX GP scheduled for the same day, but that seems very unlikely. Perhaps Mr.Barnett or Ms.Modafferi would like to put their two cents in?

If this is true, then we may be looking at a large-scale promoter taking on one of the best women in MMA, which would reek of oppurtunity for others.

To add some gas to this fire, Tsuji did fight on that GCM MARS card in March, and it should be known that G.C.M/Wajyutsu Keisyukai are extremely tight right now with FEG/K-1.

I don’t feel like trying to read that in Japanese this morning LOL
I wanna fight in those big promotions, tooooo. But it wouldn’t surprise me if they decided it’s time to take women’s fighters. “Everyone’s doing it, man!” I think the time has finally come for women’s mma. As for who will take Tsuji, I’m not sure! I’m just happy I’m at Keishukai 😉

are you referring to the kickboxing playmate in K-1 USA? *shakes head at memory* 🙄

Don’t think K-1 Japan has ever had female fights- would be a milestone if they were to sign Tsuji

Lucia Rijker fought on several K-1 Japan shows in 1993-1994 including the GP finals where Aerts won his first crown.
