It goes down tonight amidst a number of cancellations including Din Thomas’ fight. This will no doubt be one of the quality fights of the night. So the question is, who will win?

I voted LaRosa. Her skill on the ground (ADCC Absolute runner-up) combined with her physical strength advantage will overcome Modafferi’s guard if she doesn’t get a more dominant position. Modaferri’s never seemed physically strong to me.

Both beat Megumi Yabushita, LaRosa in G-Shooto in a fight I’ve yet to come across, while Modafferi was robbed of a hard-fought decision in the 2004 ReMix Tournament. LaRosa lost to Jennifer Howe early in her career, while Modafferi’s stopped her twice, back to back. Let that simmer in your mind for those who want some comparative analysis.

I would pick Tara to take it but I wouldn`t be surprised if Roxanne wins. I really think it would be a good fight.

I can’t wait to find out who won. Before Roxanne started training in Japan I would have said Tara will win. Now I don’t know because I haven’t seen Roxanne fight since her move. I’m gonna pull my hair out waiting for results!

Roxanne will win. She is patient and dilligent. Tara may be more aggressive but Roxanne has an inner zen-thing happening for her.
She just goes for it. I love her!
