Since this post, I’ve had 2 fights.

-March 11, 2006- Muay Thai- Round 2 loss by TKO

    -March 25, 2006- MMA win

*I’m still looking for fights. There are shows here coming up. Anyone interested can PM me your details & I’ll email them to the promoters.

**I’m looking to fight at 135-140lbs. I prefer to fight MMA but will consider Muay Thai.

Good luck with any upcoming fights. It looks like Pete is still looking for 2 slots to fill for the 137lb weight class in the upcoming Battle For the Belts tournament next month. It’s in Iowa so I don’t know if you’d be willing to make the trip.

Give him a call if your interested and you can come kick my ass there lol.

    Thanks Ashley.

I emailed him my info. I’ll have to talk to my coach. Is this just kickboxing? I’m looking to do more MMA, especially if I have to travel. It’s a bit hard to leave work & the kids. I’ll let you know. Thanks.

Charles Pearson (Emma’s coach) is having some shows coming up too.

yeah, it’s a muay thai tournament. Figured it might not be worth the trip, but I thought I’d let ya know about it anyway.

When are these shows scheduled for? I’m still trying to fill my schedule myself so I’ll probably shoot him an email and see if he’d be interested in having me and Kat fight.

I’ll definitely consider it. Do you know the other girls record? You can email Charles Pearson through http://www.lockflow.com

He has one show at the end of April & another one at the end of May.

Do you do MMA too or just kickboxing?

She was my last opponent before I fought Emma. Her official record I think is 2-0 right now, but she’s had a ton of exhibitions and fought as a junior. We had a close fight.

I’ve still got a long way to go on my jujitsu before I start fighting in MMA so it’s just kickboxing for me right now.

I’m not sure if you’re up for fighting someone with a bit more experience than you but if so I’m always looking for fights. You can email me at ammafighter1@yahoo.com

One of the reasons Amanda is who she is now is because she fought tough people to start out with. Win or lose, you learn.

    I sound like Alanis …

    I agree….somewhat.

Right now I’m just getting started. I had a baby & gained 70 lbs. In the past year I’ve lost 80lbs. That’s been the focus of most of my training. I’d like to do a little more than just survive with her (I don’t even think that I could do that very long right now). I could learn a lot- what it would feel like to have someone pound my head with small gloves for a long time…. 😀 I think that you get what I mean. Maybe someday. 😀

I understand and it’s smart. You have to do what you are comfortable with. And I have seen Amanda bust an old teammate’s face open in the past. Congratulations on getting back into shape! I gained 55lbs with mine and it took me 4 years to get it off. I vow not to gain that much next time, but we’ll see! At least I won’t let it hang around for 4 years next time!!
