If any of you are in the area and want to apply, there is an 8-woman invite! No cash prizes, I’m afraid (this is still a new event) but I think the women accepted to the invite don’t have to pay entrance fees, and the belts and battle axes are kind of cool 🙂

Anyway, much love to all of you and I hope to see some of you there!

    YAY JESSICA!!!!

I’m really excited to see you and your team again–I’m trying to set up a women’s open mat that weekend as well, so that we can all meet together in a non-competitive setting. i’m still talking to James about it, but I know a couple girls who are interested.

Maura, you are welcome as well!!!

    🙂

I believe a guy I know competes in this. His name is Chris Leclaire. I should really try to make it down, if only to watch.

    😥
I was planning on going to EGO, the Gracie Nationals in Colubus, OH, and hopefully Bloomingtons BJJ club has a small one in Nov. just like last year. I was really excited about doing 3 tournies in Oct & Nov. Unfortunately, I just realized that the Gracie Nationals are on the exact same day as EGO. I assume that whomever is in charge of EGO already knows this but I can’t help but wonder how much it is going to effect their turnout. I would prefer to just go to Indy, less driving. 🙂 BUT the team is planning on going to Ohio. I don’t normally talk like this in front of ladies but
    😡 FUCK! 😡

    Change of plans…
We are now going to Indy.
Maura however is not competing because, like I told Julie at the HooknShoot, she has retired from training in the MA. Luckly for me, she still enjoys watching it.
