I know, it’s a hideous photo that my husband put onto the site and I can’t take it off for some reason. 👿

yes what? are you being catty or is it yes to all?
(if you aren’t being catty then sorry that I read it wrong!, 😀 if you are it is only my first attempt at a website so don’t be mean! 🙁 )

I agree with Greta about mo pictures. The ones you do have I think would be more effective as well if you increased the resolution and made them a little bit bigger.

Also, this may sound a bit nitpicky but I have a bit of graphic design experience, so I thought I might help out. Make sure your headers stand out from the rest of the text. You generally want them to be either bigger font size, bold lettering or both. Maybe try more of a decorative font for the headers. I also saw that you have a different font used in the little blue box under the orange links to your photos, record, etc. There’s nothing wrong with using two or three different fonts on a page, but it seemed kind of weird using it there when the whole rest of your site is in the same font.

Cool though overall. I have no idea how to make websites or use any of that html, blah blah blah stuff so rock on.

I like the cartoons that you have. Who drew them?

    Hi tofu

I am Lisa’s husband. Thanks for the comments.

The pic resolutions are bad as the top few were taken on someone’s mobile and then emailed to me – they are the best clean up I could manage.

The page links are stuck in that font because the program Lycos uses won’t let me change the font for some reason – same as on the record page were it says Manager in bold because it won’t take the bold off even though I keep changing it – it’s not the greatest package but it’s free.

Just added some more pics and the biography has been started.

I found some really old jiu jitsu pictures from an old English magazine called Punch – dated 1906 and 1910 – one is of a suffragette doing jiu jitsu.

I don’t know if your email account (whoever you pay to connect to the internet) gives you a website free, but I know I have less ads for websites from my mail account than if I sign up through lycos, yahoo, etc. It looks like you are from the UK though so I have NO idea how it works- I connect through roadrunner/time warner cable and they give me a free website with no popups. Also, when I went to college they gave me free web space too.

There just seemed like there were a lot of ads on there and the people kissing at the top of the page was sort of funny 😆
