http://www.fightergirls.com is the photo gallery. It was the first women’s MMA fight in Sweden. Now that MMA looks like it will be banned in Sweden it is also the last women’s fight for a while at least. Pretty straight forward clash of striker vs. grappler.

I’m still laughing at the “ring card guy” in the first shot.

Aside from losing to Fujii a jump back, Van der Wel’s been doing pretty good right?

    heey girls,

it’s nice to see that someone post it over here to!
i read a lot at this forum so it’s nice!
most of the time am i the striker..(i like it more)
but this time the sweedisch girl was going all the way in the first minute.
she didn’t hurt me so i thought let’s wait..i knew she couldn’t hold this level 10 minutes….And then 1 had one change for that armbar…
It was a great experience..and a great audience over there! Very much respect!

(sorry if my english isn’t very good haha)

    Thanks!
    Greets Nadia van der Wel

Not to be a buzz kill, but this is what friggin kills me about women’s mma. A fighter takes a loss, goes back to drawing the board, rebuilds, and then there’s only a slight risk that she might find herself on a bigger stage taking on people she should be fighting. GRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

That I want the people in power (G-Shooto, Smackgirl) in women’s mma to start picking up fighters that are doing well. G-Shooto especially has been crying about getting fighters (mostly for Fujii) when their are fighters abounding.

The only real way to know how many fights a woman has had is to see or know of their every fight. Fight Finder is horrendous when it comes to women’s mma

    OEPS… 😳 Sorry!!!
Next time i will say : Hey Everybody!

    About my fights…
Not all my fights are on sherdog.
    We have Shooto.Holland over here.
I fought a few times on there shows.
    Sherdog don’t count them.
    My record now is:

    6 wins – 1 draw – 2 losses

    Bye Bye…

According to the Full Contact Fighter http://www.fightergirls.com , Nadia is 5-0 as an amateur and 1-1-1 as a pro. That includes her EVT6 fight.
