from what i understand, it is amazing Gracie has an arm left. of course, I have been informed that such a thing is not violent, merely “fun”.

I have no idea how Royce’s wrist wasn’t broken. His joints must be made of something different than the rest of us. No wonder he’s so dang good.

But UFC has changed a ton since his days. Everyone has ground skills now.

Still, watching the old UFC’s in the days leading up to the fight reminded us all how revolutionary he really was. Seeing a 180lb man tap out a 250lb musclebound badass will always be an incredible sight.

There was no doubt in my mind that Hughes was going to win. I just hope that GSP beats the crap out of him and takes the title. 😀

I had no doubt Hughes was going to control the stand up, I had no idea he would control the ground as well-

That arm would’ve snapped before he would tap

Did anyone else notice Tim Silvia wearing his belt to the cage to corner Hughes? What an ass! And if it wasn’t a title fight between Matt and Hoyce, why did they put the belt on hughes afterwards?

But the fight did go pretty much like I expected it to. Hughes is just too strong, too fast, and too skilled for it to go any other way.

I dont think Matt is a jerk.. I just enjoy rooting for the underdog.
And I dont think belts have any place in a non title fight…especially if it’s not even your fight.
