The chics name is Maekawa. She’s about 154lbs or something.

So ya’ll wanted play-by-play… well here it is. I trained, I had incredibly bad nerves, had my post fight breakdown, threw up, got the shits, flew up there, nerves got worse, got my picture taken, weighed in at 133.5, said hey to Amanda, went and had some food, went to bed. Woke up the next day feeling peaceful, got the call that Amanda was real sick with food poisioning… shite a brick, came to terms with it, went swimming, got all dressed up, met up with my family and friends, went to the show. Went to the hotel club, some chic kept lookin’ at me like she wanted to fight me… army guy ripped the molding off the wall to hit her bf with, sat back put my feet up on a table like I owned the place, then we left. Sat in the hotel lobby a few more hours, had a shot of Jaeger and a redbull, and proceded to shoot the shit woth many people. It was a good time. I’ll be fighting up there again in January.

    There it is.

    Sincerely,

You forgot the “got called into ring during intermission, audience cheered and clapped” part. I would post a pic but that jacket…

Tara, Please accept my deepest apologies for this weekend. I never imagined something like that would happen to me, it was an absolute nightmare, as I’m sure it was for you as well. I thought it was the right decision at the time but looking back on it I wish I had just fought, no matter how poor a performance it may have resulted in. I’m supposed to fight on Dec 10 and was hoping to get the promoter to offer the fight to you but I just read you’re fighting in Japan so it looks like that won’t work out. Good luck over there and have a great time.

Here is Kumiko Maekawa, who Tara is talking about, against Tama Chan in Smack Girl from August.

wtf they told me they couldn’t afford to fly anyone in from the states.

not like I could fight anyway *cry* I said “screw it I’m training anyway” and did the technique class last night for an hour. That’s about all i can take right now. 🙁

when are you guys coming Tara? MORE INFO

Amanda, don’t sweat it…shit happens. Glad you’re ok. Where are you fighting on the 10th? LOL… I’m fighting on the 10th too.. well supposed to be anyway, somewhere in IN. I don’t particularly want to fight you after just having a fight 2 weeks earlier. Quite frankly… you scare me. 😯

Keith! You didn’t like my jacket? I was going for the more tailored look. smile is just not my thing… I look like a man in drag when I try it. 🙄 😆

Roxi, we fly out the 26th into Tokyo. I was origionally asked if I wanted to fight you or this other chic at 128lbs. That was weired because I knew you had gotten hurt (knee) so I figured they just didn’t know about it yet. Then I was supposed to be fighting some pro wrestler chic that was 170, but something happened to that, and now I am set to fight Maekawa.

(((For those of you scratching your heads, yes, I walk around in the 130’s))) ***AND contrary to one popular opinion held and distributed solely by a female participant in the -132lb weight class from Abu Dhabi… I am not on steroids*** C’mon! Look at me! Do I seriously look like I’m on steroids? I’m fat for God’s sake!

    🙂 😆 8)

I’m fighting in the Ring of Fire in Denver. It sounds like you’re managing to stay pretty busy which is great, we need upper level women fighting as often as possible to let people see what we’re made of. Good luck with your upcoming stuff.

This would have been a great fight but I’m sure you’ll meet somewhere down the line. You both showed well at ADCC and are getting fights by just stepping up to all opportunites in a time where there’s been what 5-6 fights this year in the U.S.
