First off, Erin Toughill, you have no clue what anyone is offered.
Second, Marloes Coenen’s manager, Martin De Jong, has been in contact with me for the last two years about her fighting.
Third, saying “getting screwed soley depends on MONEY” is complete shit and a sad way to look at this so called sport. Did you know guys are getting $1,000/$1,000 MINUS comission fees, licenses, etc to fight in the UFC? Aaron Riley took hom $1,643 for his “fight of the year” with Robbie Lawler.
If you don’t like it, don’t fight. I don’t hold a gun to anyone’s head.
Do the math on a HOOKnSHOOT show////1.500 X average of $14 per ticket = $21,000. I had $7,900 just in plane tickets. I can only pay what the sport generates or I don’t have a show.
Here’s a nice, fun fact: I lost $8,000 of my own money (no sponsors, no backers) just my credit cards on the first women’s event.
It took me 18 months, yes, 18 months to break even. Damn, I’m rich!!!!!
KEEP THE NEGATIVES COMING..IT’S GREAT FOR THE WOMEN FIGHTERS!

Jeff – relax.
First, I would not SAY that I knew what *someone* was getting – IF I really did not know.
Second, you spoke to Martin – I spoke to Marloes.
Third, I am VERY supportive of the deserving women in the sport.
Don’t take it so personally, Jeff – facts are facts.
