I won 100 – 90 on all scorecards. Which meant I did not lose one round – I kicked her ass for ten. I stopped her w/ a body shot in the 8th or 9th – she tried to say I hit her “low” LOL the crowd was pissed!! We do have protective cups – but we JUST don’t have what the guys have. Those liver shots are painful LOL This was my favorite fight yet. I was pretty pleased. I know my last one I did not do all that I could to stop the girl – so that had been on my mind…but this girl took a beating. NO ONE could believe she was still standing – but heart is a strong thing – I knew she wanted that belt too. But it was my night and I am proud to say i am the new GBU/WIBF super middleweight intercontinental champ. This fight will be aired on FOX sports Nov 12th and 20th…..so look for it!

I am just happy I won and that I got a chance to fight. My goal is to keep fighting the girls with better records and defend my title as well as challenge other title holders. Thanks again and I know my sister was watching me that night!!

who was the crowd pissed at>?

While reading this, I couldn’t tell if Erin was more pleased with scoring well and winning or with the impression that “this girl took a beating”.

A hard punch to the liver could prove highly distressing and discouraging to the punchee. Having watched a few televised female contests, I got the notion women were not inclined to deliver body punches. Don’t know how many points fight officials give for punches to the tummy.

The crowd was pissed at HER.

Gimme a break! Like, did you get hit in the b*lls or something 🙄 Girls are not used to taking body punches – girls don’t usually even throw body punches. She got stopped by some left hooks to her right side and she bent over in pain. I attacked her again – and she cried foul. I think the ref was pissed more so cause I hit her a few times after he told me to stop. Sorry 🙄 Maybe I can be the Ricky Hatton of the girls divsion LOL

Anyways, I saw her post that she thought she did much better then she really did. I dunno. I don’t even care. It was not eight rounds to ten, or 9 rounds to ten..I won ten rounds outta ten. But somehow ppl still think they win – even when they don’t. Whatever. I won’t lose any sleep over it.

    Right RYAN???

Man, what are your testosterone levels over there, Erin? Still sounds like the pain was more amusing to you than the points.

Guess the ref should have been a bit more pro-active, eh? Sounds like he was just an obstacle for you to get around.

As far as the crowd and myself were concerned – it was not low. But all refs are different. I actually liked this ref a lot. He was pretty cool and let us do our thing.

FightforYou – What’s funny, is that I actually have “low” testosterone levels. I think that’s funny considering how much I like fighting – but who knows, you know? And am I messed up for saying that the pain is equally enjoyable as the points. Don’t get me wrong – I would feel awful if she was seriously injured – but like I HAVE ALWAYS SAID: This is fighting – not cookie making. This is a tough sport; not a “cool” sport. sometimes ppl get confused as to which is which. People can be fatally injured in boxing – it’s not a joke and happens more then ppl know. I would probably quit boxing if I killed someone — but there are some things that are part of fighting. Getting hurt in boxing? That’s the nature of the beast….but when I win – I enjoy all aspects of wininng. I think that’s pretty cut and dry.

Like Voly, I haven’t seen much body punching by women. Just a guess, but since F fighters have less power than guys, they probably feel that they can’t do enough damage to make it worth the effort.

But there’s another factor that’s neglected. Strength is proportional across the board. Thus, women might not be able to get as much power on their body punches, but their opponent won’t be able to handle as much.

BTW, maybe now that Gatti stopped that Romanian guy with a body punch, and Hopkins stopped De La Hoya the same way, everyone will start doing it more.

I know that Lucia Rijker has won fights/tko’d with body shots. (I think against Witte and Acuna, but don’t quote me on that.) So yeah, the power is there.

    Congrats to Erin.

High Roller Charity event teamed with boxers and biters? Can you say “MIXED MESSAGES”? Seems very odd to me.
