This forum seems to have slowed down lately. I’m surprised that there hasn’t been more buzz on here with all the events and opportunities that are coming our way. 2007 certainly looks to be the best year so far for women’s MMA, it seems that we’re really starting to get some mainstream acceptance and support.

So I thought I’d start a thread to do just that.

For starters, there’s Bodog, Fatal Femmes, Elite XC, smackgirl, ….

Which organisation / event / match ups are you most excited about for 2007?

It took me about a week and a few emails to get the all mighty “permission to post” account activation from whatever board admin does that. When my first attempt at signing up didn’t work, I tried again with different information, and I STILL haven’t gotten the authorization to post on that other screen name. After about 2 months.

So my suggestion would be to get rid of the BS system that requires an admin to activate the account. It really pissed me off while I was waiting for my activation!

Thanks for bringing it to the admin/moderators attention! I had tried with a few different usernames and emails thinking there was an error on my end – but it seems there was a script error……which has stopped a number of people from becoming active on this forum for months now.

Thanks to the recent change (chad). (I had to borrow someone elses email address as I exhausted all of mine, and slightly modify my username). but Im excited to finally be able to post on this forum.

    😀 Cool

I think you will find that more and more people will become involved with the forum with this fix.

your welcome!!! The only reason we tried this was to prevent spamming.. This is a public board for all ages. We had a lot of adult stuff posted here and we did stop it but yes it was also stopping others.

    Sorry had to try it!

Im with chad. Im really excited about all of them!

Problem here in Australia we don’t get to see much of what goes on. (we don’t get your cool cable tv channels).
I stay up to date and see what I can from what I read here on the fightergirls forum.
One day I would really like to fight in smackgirl.

No, put yourself in a bubble. This string of top gals losing to upsets may be infectious.

It has been a bit quiet lately, but there are some good up and coming fighters out there, and there should be a few good matches in the pipeline.

Lisa’s fight next week should be a good fight.

I am excited for the chance for women to really show their stuff this year. We have “The Breakout” and “Fatal Femmes” here in the states putting together all women projects. Smackgirl is still chugging along. And Bodog has taken women’s MMA serious and made it one of their main attractions along side the men.

Lot’s of great chances for women to fight at this point and for someone who has been supporting from the beginning, it’s great news.

Of coure I am most excited about Megumi coming to fight outside of Japan and show who she is to the rest of the world!

    Josh

ps. I have also had the great fortune to meet many of the women competing like Rosi and Shayna to name a few couple. It’s great always to meet all of you.

pps. Who is coslisa? Most folks don’t fill out their profile.

HAHAHA! Tanswell you crack me up! I guess I am well learned and informed about MMA, the women’s scene included. Maybe I could be the Dr. Rosi “Brainiac” smile of MMA…if there wasn’t already one apparently.

Have you heard of her Karl? I heard she can calculate the exact angles and vectors of her opppnents strikes to respond with the perfect counters. S’true.
