Debi with a big fight like that and with it being over seas, how many days before the fight do you leave? Or shall I say do you want to get there to get use to the altitude change and the jet lag. Just curious.

Als Irma Verhoeff was confirmed to be in the tournament, as I’ve heard!

Do you gals ( oh and Guys ) know much about the other girls that will be fighting in Smackgirl. I know about Debi and Erin , but I can’t really find that much info on anyone else. To tell you the truth when I do a search on them I can’t get any results.

By the way have the other girls been announced yet? I did a search for Smack girl, but the website that I got was gibberish, and I didn’t take that coarse in school. I guess I should have taken that as one of my electives. Anyone know where I can get some more info on it?

Irma Verhoeff – Probably one the better heavyweights out there.
Marloes Coenen – Remix champ in 2000. She was arguably the best female fighter in the world prior to Jennifer Howe.
Megumi Yabushita – Remix runner-up in 2000. That seems to have been the high point of her MMA career.
Miwako Ishihara – A heavyweight who can withstand a lot of punishment.
Yoko Takahashi – Lost to Verhoeff twice.
Ana Carolina – Beat fellow Brazilian heavyweight Carmen Casca-Grossa with a sub in her first fight.

Yeah I’m wondering who gets to fight who first? maybe lightweights fight other lightweights and then heavies fight, and then the winners fight each other? That’s how it was for hooknshoot.

    😈 very exciting.

I hope this article is mistaken and that Ana Carolina didn’t really leave on the 19th.

“In Japan, the Smackgirl tournament`s rules would scare Rodrigo ‘Minotauro’ as well as many Jiu-Jitsu fighters, since they stay on the ground only for 30 seconds. However, it does not frighten Ana Carolina, a black belt from Gracie Barra-BH, a tough girl who is ready to fight in Japan for the first time on the show scheduled for next November 23rd. Confident and proud, Draculino’s student has been training hard before leaving for Japan, on November 19th…”

There’s no way they’d let her leave that early. That article has outdated info.
