After her victory over Greta Hicks, who do you think Jen Case should fight next?

    Poopy! 😯

I didn’t add an “other” category to the poll. Feel free to comment on who else ought to be in it!

PS: I’ve added a similar poll on the ISCF message board. 8)

Michelle and Erin fought in separate sports this month.

Kobold’s last fight was last February.

Olga fought Jen Irons in Combate Libre Mexico 3 on September 20 2002.

Jaqueline fought Amanda Buckner on July 19 2003.

Time is running out on voting. I scheduled this poll to close 34 days after June 27th, which should take it through July.

Good luck to Jen and Greta on their rematch. 😀

I’m glad to hear that Greta will get another shot but I’d like to see Jen fight someone else. No offense to anyone, but she had to nothing to gain by rematching Julie Kedzie and she has nothing to gain if she beats Greta again. I think she has a good shot at being big in women’s MMA but she needs to get a little more diversity in her record.

Good luck to both of you!!

Hello Rikki, how many women our weight fight? Its not like they are growing on trees! Not to mention, how many actually show up?
If I want to fight I will take who I can get, thats the same for Jen.
Julie Kedzie took that fight in Ohio last minute to cover for me, (injury) Thank you Julie and thank you Jen for returning to Milwaukee. You have created lots a new fans to the sport, and that to me is priceless.

“Not to mention, how many actually show up?”

Yeah, no kidding….given my problems with opponents pulling out EVERY TIME I’ve had a scheduled fight (sometimes two or three times), I would say you take what you can get. You’re right; Jen had nothing to gain by rematching me (EXCEPT THAT NEITHER OF US WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO FREAKING FIGHT), and I thank her for doing it.

I’ve solved the problem of lack of opponents by dropping to a lower, more stacked weight class. For people like Greta and Jen who don’t have that gorgeous layer of Irish fat that plagues me, I’m assuming that the 145-155 class is the most healthy, intelligent place for them to fight….and, given the fact that there are few visible opponents hanging out in it, of COURSE we will see rematches.

I’d love to see Jen fight some of the girls listed (as well as Greta, who is, and will contiune to be, a FORCE at this weight!) and I’m sure she will get offers about them. In the meantime, though, why shouldn’t she take what’s available?!!?

Like I said above, I meant no offense to anyone. I certainly wasn’t trying to say that they should’ve turned down this fight. I know that there aren’t many active women in this weight class (and a lot of the active ones are in Japan). Opponents backing out or simply not showing up seems to be a problem for all female fighters. Hopefully as the sport grows there will be more choices for opponents in all weight classes.
