I’d say Julie, but the way things are going… 2007 is the year of the underdawg, so dont count Jan out so soon.

Fingers crossed, Bodog will show it eventually. If they do, you’ll be able to get it on the internet.

Due to financial woes…I doubt I will be able to go see this fight. It will kill me Saturday night, where ever I am, knowing at the time that I am missing the fight. 😥

KEDZIE BY SUBMISSION. SHE HAS IMPROVED HER FIGHT GAME BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS.
FINNEY DOESN’T SEEM TO HAVE SPENT ANY TIME ON HER GROUND GAME OR IT HASN’T EVOLVED. FINNEY HAS A PUNCHERS CHANCE.

HooknShoot is just hours away now, and some serious questions need answering. Like:

What will Jan wear during her ring entrance? 😀

Will Julie sport a Mohawk like she said she would? 😆

I’m excited to hear the outcome of this one. Are there any other women on the card?

i think Jeff announce before the match that it was not a title match because of mumble mumble mumble mumble…I have never been able to understand anyone speaking into the microphone in that place so I don’t know why.

Jan was dressed like a leprecon…I guess. Not sure if that was her intent but she was all green and even had the big green hat. Maura exclaimed, “What the hell, it’s not St. Patricks Day.” She still looked amazing as usual.
    Image

As for Julies hair, she had it DARK…so they wouldn’t look alike, I guess.

Round one. A few kicks and punches but most of the round was on the ground. The majority of the match was Julie with the high mount, dropping bombs. Unlike the men’s matches that night, where the victem layes there throwing his arms up to GIVE up the armbar or continue to get punch in the face until the ref can’t take any more. Jan at least disrupted the beating with bridging and bucking, Unfortunately, they were in the ropes the whole time so most of the bridges just had Julie bouncing off the ropes and back onto the mount to drop more punches.

Round two. Opened up with what appeared to me as Julie foot jabbing Jan right in her face and immediately going to the ground. The same thing continued and finally the ref stopped it after 2:44.

    Notes:
    1) There were tons of male fights before this one…NONE of them went passed the first round!!! Heck, it seemed like most of them didn’t get past the first minute. Even a seemingly lopsided female match was better than all of those matches.
    2) I have seen Jan fight 4 times before…she just didn’t seem to be the same fighter. I couldn’t put my finger on it but something seemed different.
    3) Julie looked more tenacious and determined than I have ever seen. I was hoping to see her before the match to wish her luck but it looks like I didn’t need to. Good Job.

Congrats to Julie on another big win. Since joining Jackson’s camp, she is 3-0 with 2 decisive ground and pound wins over Berezekova and now Finney, plus a very impressive unanimous decision over Kelly Kobald…..so perhaps note # 3 is the reason for note # 2. 😉
