| Weekend Results Round-up |
Monday, October 19, 2009 Article By MarQ Piocos - News Editor

Molly Hensel, after a loss to Alexis Davis this last weekend, came back quickly to the cage to face Amanda Duvall over the weekend at the MAXX FC 5 "October BRAWL" in Puerto Rico. Billed as the first ever pro-women's mma match, the crowd were hot for Helsel as she took Howard off her feet. Helsel (now 8-8-1) used her ground and pound to tko Duvall (0-2) in and get back into the win column.
#6 ranked Vanessa Porto (10-3) gets her third win in a row by submitting Roberta Torno (1-1) with an armbar at 1:47 in the first round at the Jungle Fights 15 in Rio.
At the Pure Combat “Fearless” card in Tulare, CA, Angela Samaro (2-1) was just too much for Leanne Jenkins (0-2), who lost via tko in 1:54 in the first round.
In Outi Louhimo (2-0) (pictured right) did her home country of Finland proud with a decision win over Akiko Naito (5-9) (pictured left) at the Fight Festival 26 in Toolon.
