Claudinha Gadelha defeated Adriana Vieira 1st round TKO at Shooto Brazil on Friday. Viera was a late replacement for Raquel Pitbull.

Also on Friday, Kathina Catron defeated Amber Powell with a guillotine choke in the 1st round of their bout at XFL 9.

Four professional women's bouts took place at Jewels: 21st Ring on Saturday. Shizuka Sugiyama defeated Yurika Tanaka with 2nd round TKO, Mika Nagano defeated Tomo Maesawa by technical submission (armbar), Satomi Takano defeated Fukuko Hamada by unanimous decision, and Celine Haga defeated Anna Saito by technical submission (armbar) in the second round of their bout.

Allanna Jones defeated Kathleen Albany via 1st round TKO at TWC 14: Up Close and Personal.

Paige VanZant defeated Amber Stautzenberger by unanimous decision at Premier Fight Series 2.
Stephanie Skinner defeated Margaret Bloom via 2nd round TKO at Kickdown 103: Wizards.


Michelle Ould will face Munah Holland at Bellator 74 on Friday the 28th.

Also on Friday, Sofia Bagherdai will fight Sarah Maloy at XFC 20: High Octane.

Yuka Tsuji will fight Hyo Kyung Song at DEEP: Osaka Impact 29th, also on the 29th.

Also on Saturday, Annalisa Bucci squares off against Lenka Smetankova at MMAA Arena.


Sarah Kaufman has withdrawn from her Invicta bout with Kaitlin Young due to injury. Young will instead be facing Leslie Smith on October 6th, in a highly anticipated rematch. The two fought to a draw at the inaugural Invicta FC event on April 28.


Amanda Nunes was set to face Cat Zingano at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healey on Saturday the 29th, but the entire card has been canceled.
