Invicta Fighting Championships has added another bout to their January 5th card: an atomweight scrap between Laura Marcusse and Cassie Robb.
Amber Stautzenberger, who was pulled out of a fight earlier this month due to illness, will be fighting Summer Atherton on January 26th.
After a hard-fought press conference, Ronda Rousey received the UFC women's bantamweight belt. She will be defending her title against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 on February 23rd.
FIGHT RESULTS
Jessica "Evil" Eye handily defeated Zoila Gurgel via technical submission (standing arm triangle choke) at Bellator 83. The fight was over 58 seconds into the first round.
Julia Berezikova defeated Karla Benitez via 2nd round armbar at SFL 12.
Stephanie Eggink defeated Heather Clark via unanimous decision at XFC 21.
Kinberly Novaes defeated "Karol Mutante" via split decision at Iron Fight Combat 2.
Amanda Lucas defeated Yuiga via majority decision at DEEP: Cage Impact 2012.
UPCOMING FIGHTS
A total of 16 (count 'em) fights will take place this coming week.
On Friday, Colleen Schneider will face Sanja Sučević for the flyweight title at Super Fight League 13, which will be streamed on SFL's YoUTube channel at 9:30 Central--so set your alarms clock.
Also on Friday, Yasmine Reguera-Gonzales (a late replacement for Jordan Gaza) and Lisa Lamb square off at Legacy 16.
Finally, Friday's Bellator 84 card will feature a match between Felice Herrig and late replacement Patricia Vidonic, to be streamed on Spike.com starting at 5PM Central.
On Saturday, Nina Ansaroff will face Tyra Parker at Wild Bill's Fight Night 51.
Also on Saturday, Carol Correia and Beel Lisbao will fight at The Gladiador in Brazil.
