With out the code or the criteria it is kind of meaningless.

There are a lot of numbers behind that final Current Score and All Time Score. It uses win/lose points, opponents rating, events level and a lot of other parameters.

Here is how Current Score is calculated:

Current Score = AllTime Score + 2 Year Score + Recent Score
+ Last 4 Fights + Win Streak

All time score is a career score for a fighter:
AllTimeScore = WinLossPoints + OpponentPoints
+ EventPoints

2 Year Score is a score for the fights in the last two years (actually exactly 1000 days).

Last 4 Fights are points from last 4 fights.

You can see detailed algorithm explanation on www.ScoreCardMMA.com

I wanted to see what do you guys think if Rankings and Scores look good.

Just giving what you posted here a casual look it seems mostly reasonable. Nothing pops out for me.

However I was looking at the P4P rankings on your site. I normally avoid P4P discussions like the plague. But I must say any P4P ranking that puts

Sarah Kaufman @ 6
Tara La Rosa @ 7

and

Zoila Frausto @ #4

is never going to get my vote of confidence.

Cris @ #1 I would question as well but a case can be made.

It is good to see some one taking an analytical approach to this though. Any where that human flawed judging is involved will always suffer from the flaws of the judging. WMMA is harder to track than the male equivalent due to there being more weight jumping going on. Some thing like this could help to spot those issues.

First, I would assert that any P4P rankings would aggravate a lot of people.
But I consider P4P ranking a necessary evil.

A lot of people complained about having Zoila bellow Megumi Fuji after a win over her.
Yes, I agree that was a controversial win (same as win against Aguilar), but still she has a win which other 22 fighters couldn’t get.
That win by itself pushed her to #4.

Here are detail scores for those three:

CurrScore - AllTime - 2yTotal - Last4 - Last Fight
483.3 - 140.9 - 130.7 - 127 - 55 - Zoila Frausto
469.4 - 151.0 - 135.9 - 108 - 22 - Sarah Kaufman
442.1 - 176.1 - 114.5 - 95 - 42 - Tara LaRosa

So, difference in Score points are not big (14 points between them).
On the All Time ranking Tara is ranked #4 (176 All Time points) and Zoila is #12 (140 points).
But Tara didn’t fight at all in 2008 and last 2 years her opponents were under par.
Hashi was her only win against a good opponent in the last 3 years.
Kaufman has a Loss in the last fight and the last fight has more influence then a fight before.

Current Score is very time dependent and is changing quickly, where All Time Score is overall career achievement.
You were probably thinking more in terms of All Time ranking.

When you are ranking P4P you need to look at the record as well as the weight class. So start by telling us which weight class you put Tara and Zoila in? Then how do you reconcile the fact that Tara has been fighting above her proper weight class to get fights while Zoila has been fighting below her proper weight class and in one she can't stay in because the cut is to tough?

Zoila firing off 3 fights in quick succession moves her up your rankings fast. But I doubt many people will agree that she got much better as a fighter from beginning to end. That doesn't even get into the subjective questions of did she really win and how dominant were those performances.

As for Sarah she has been fighting very regularly and has been facing a murders row and with the exception of Marloes who came down from 145 has been cleaning up in dominant fashion. Now she is a 135er and not 115 or 125 but I think she has a better claim to P4P than Cris does who has been facing under weight opponents.

So my original take still stands. Any ranking that puts Zoila above Sarah and Tara is just plain broke. It may be mathematically correct, but it's still broke.

I cannot say anything more then that I almost completely agree with what you just said.

We do have mechanisms in our algorithms that account for differences in weight and questionable judges decisions, but for the female fighters we do not apply them fully. Reason being is a lack of knowledge of the female fighting scene.

We don’t always accept “a win is a winâ€

Sorry, but I didn’t answer all your questions in the previous post.

I have Zoila at 115, but as she already said, her natural weight is 125.
Females are still not very good in weight cutting, so a lot of them are fighting way over their natural weight (especially Japanese females where you have 5’1 fighter fighting at 135).
Sarah Kaufman is at 135 and Tara LaRosa is at 125.

Regarding adding some fight adjustment for some female fights, I might need some help.
Probably some fights for Cris should have difference in weight deduction of -9%.
Right now I have just a few close decison adjustments (+/- 10%) , like Frausto- Aguilar and Yamaguchi- Takabayashi.

If you want to continue this discussion, maybe I can open a new topic here.
I don’t want to interfere posts that ShdwPrwler is putting here.
