Ronda is going to be fighting Julia Budd in June for Strikeforce.

Julia's fighting Anna Barone on May 19th. I doubt she has any fights planned for the next few weeks afterwards, not until she's got that one out of the way at least.

Ronda is more likely fighting Charmaine Tweet, a very tall muay thai specialist. (Should be an interesting clash of styles.)

The fight will possibly take place at 155, and will most likely be in June sometime. (Not in Strikeforce though.)

Actually, Strikeforce could cancel Julia's match if they need to. They get priority. The other rumour has Julia vs Germain de Randamie on the June 24 Strikeforce show. Someone is getting signals crossed.

Per Julia Budd....she won't be fighting Anna at "MMA Live 1" in May because she will be fighting on a Strikeforce card on June 24th against the infamous, TBD. (Her opponent hasn't been officially announced yet)

Charmaine is set to make her amateur MMA debut on May 28th against Tia Wishart, so unless she plans to turn pro immediately after this fight, she won't be fighting Ronda in June.

Hmmmm, that would be kinda hard since Gina fights on the 18th and Julia fights on the 24th!

Promotion confirms that the fight is set, but note that it's at 150. There was a post on the UG the other day, but it said 155. Not sure if that was ever accurate, but it's not now.

I actually like this matchup. If Charmaine can keep the fight standing, we're going to quickly find out what Ronda's striking is like and whether she can take a punch/knee. If not, we get another lightning-fast armbar.

This does appear to be a fair challenge for Ronda since Charmaine has the reach advantage to help keep the fight upright. I have to wonder about her quickness however; is she as explosive as Ronda? It could all boil down to speed, does Charmaine have the speed to counter Ronda's attempts to take it to the ground?

I agree with the above sentiment.

In my view, if Tweet falls to the ground she will be submitted.

Looks like Zuffa tried to sign Rousey to replace Carano on the June 18th card.

But she'd already signed a contract to fight on the 17th, and the promoter of that card plans to hold her to it.

Aww that's too bad she already has another fight. Oh well, at least Strikeforce is trying to reach out to her. I can't wait to see her fight more often. She could be the next face of WMMA.

Goes way beyond that. Now Ronda is facing death threats from crazed fans and extra security has been called in for the fight in Calgary. Not joking.
