Thanks for ruining Strikeforce, Zuffa :x

Bellator should pick her up.

this is awful news. they just removed a great interest in the womens 135 division. i have no doubt that dana is doing the same thing to golden glory like he did to AKA when jon fitch refused to be in the ufc video game - remove them all, or threaten to.

i like golden glory fighters. its a shame ufc bought strikeforce.

UFC didn't buy Strikeforce, Zuffa did. Zuffa is the parent company of the UFC.

I think more female fighters in the same org might actually be beneficial

It looks like Marloes will be fighting for BlackEye Promotions.

How is it the same when UFC answers to Zuffa and Zuffa makes the decisions involving the UFC and Strikeforce? The only exception where UFC is concerned is that Dana White is a shareholder with Zuffa, but that doesn't mean that he tells Strikeforce what to do. UFC and Zuffa are not the same entity.

How much do people know about Blackeye Promotions?
I looked at their website but there's not much info there.

Here's what i know about them.

they were a MAJOR sponsor of the G2 summit.

They put on 4 or 5 pro womens fights on their last card.

They are putting on a crazy stacked card in a little while.

They seem like the real deal, i've talked with Janet on facebook a few times. They really do care about the womens side of things!

Hey everyone. Just to let you know, I have taken on the writing/reporting for fightergirls.com here in asheville (i.e. covering BlackEye). I will be speaking with both Scott and Janet this weekend. If you would like me to ask any specific questions, please post them here.

Thanks!

I know that they put on a pretty good show near asheville a couple months ago. That was where McMann fought Malenfant. They were saying there that they were wanting to be the leader in wmma.
