Does anybody have any thoughts on INVICTA FC TWO’s matchups?

Personally, I kind of think Raquel Pa’Aluhi might be in over-her-head going up against Amanda Nunes and I’m almost certain D’Alelio’s relative inexperience is going to work against her when she steps into the cage with Porto.

Agreed. Still this may be the place to gain experience. If not here, where else oslooskar? I wish D'Aleio's the best against Porto. Vanessa is very good. Still, she like Pa'Aluhi took this fight as a sub after somebody else had to withdraw for one reson or another. I believer there were four fighters who had to cancel out.
I am looking forward to Baszler vs McMaan. Two submission specialists. Should be a good chess match. I give it to Shayna because of experience. Still, McMaan is no pushover. It should be good. Then there is Kaitlin Young, she is going to be exciting. By the way oslooskar, where is Frank Pozen? I noticed he does not post here anymore. Thanks. Defshepard.

I know Leslie Smith had to withdraw because of a fracture in her hand. Sorry to see her gone. :( I was very impressed with her against Kaitlin Young. Very tough, very aggressive fighter. I hope to see her again, along with Jessica Penne. I am sorry to see there was no video of the weigh-ins. I am also sorry to see no response to this thread. I hope I am not a thread-killer here. Take care everybody. 8)

Hi defshepard, unfortunately Frank Pozen has not been around here for quite some time. I know there were some individuals who complained that his hard-hitting commentaries were driving people away but I think such accusations were mostly unwarranted. While I’m sure Frank’s outspokenness upset a number of people, the activity level on these forums didn’t really drop until after his departure.

If you’re interested, you can find Frank on Twitter and also check out his “BIG BAD BLOG”.

WOW! I'm in a state of shock. D’Alelio made short work of Porto.

She sure did. I felt really bad for Raquel the Hawain. I to am in state of shock about D'Alelio. Upset about Kaitlin Young loseing. I do not agree with the desecion against Shayna Baszleer at all. I had winning that very close fight with McMann. Oh well it happens.

Oslooskar, thanks for telling me about Frank Pozen. I may drop him a line.

I must tell you I am not at all happy about Invicta's streaming. They need to get better servers to handle the load. I missed about an hours worth of fighting. Fortunetly, I will be able to see it all on their website on video.

Hi defshepard, while I also felt very sorry for Raquel Pa’Aluhi, she did much better against Nunes than I had expected.

Although I felt bad about Kaitlin losing I was really impressed by the improvement in her boxing skills.

Personally, I am of the opinion that judges have no place in MMA. If a fight does not end with a Submission, TKO, or a Knockout then it should be called a draw. After all, it’s MMA so why should a grappler be penalized for not throwing as many punches as a striker?

Oslooskar, I agree with you about the judges, very good obsevation. Question for you. How do you break up quotes like that? After all these years I still do not know how do to that. I like your take on the Baszler/McMann fight. I agree she should not be penalized for not throwing as many punches as McMann a striker. Kaitlin young has improved a great deal in her boxing. I feel she needs work on her ground game. I still feel bad for her. I hope we see Raquel Pa'Aluhi again. I like her. Overall it was a very good show. I am pumped for Invicta 3. Thanks oslooskar. 8)

I guess you are right about Raquel Pa'Aluhi doing as well as she did against Nunes. After all Amanda Nunes is very dangerous and a very good fighter. No doubt about it. I guess I hoped for a better, longer harder fight for Nunes and not such and easy victory. Well so be it. Nothing we can do about it. Thanks again Oslooskar.

Yes I did, didn't I? LOL. You are right that is a good one. I guess after that fight she looked like a striker, not a wrestler or a submission artist.

No.., I was not. I was aware she had competed and had met Shayna there before, and was a silver medal olympic wrestler. What year was this may I ask? I wonder if there is any video of that match up?
