Strikeforce’s Sarah D’Alelio

709_lgGina Carano’s opponent June 18, Sarah D’Alelio is used to being the underdog, and likes every minute of it.

A lot of female fighters would be honored to be able to face “The Female Face of MMA” Gina Carano, and Sarah D’Alelio is no exception. Very few outside of the women’s mma community know of D’Alelio, but with a 4-1 record as a pro, and a 6-1 record as an amateur, she has been around the cage a few times. In her pro career, she has always been the “out of town” fighter, and she sees it as motivation.

Fightergirls News Editor MarQ Piocos and “That Girl is Funny” blogger Cheryl Ragsdale talked to D’Alelio about preparing for Carano, what grappling world champion will be in her corner, and her transition to the Combat Sports Academy in the Bay Area.
