Share the Spirit- “Adopt a Family”
40 families still awaiting adoption with the Adopt a Family Project

As our days grow shorter and the weather becomes colder, many of us shift our thoughts
to the joy of the holiday season and the closeness of our families. Unfortunately, many families in our community are struggling with poverty, disabilities, homelessness, abandonment, or the effects of a slow economy and the holidays can be a very worrisome time. Without the help of caring community members these families will struggle to meet their basic needs and may go without enough food and warm winter clothing, let alone toys or other holiday gifts.

The Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County are in urgent need of your help this Holiday Season. Each year they make the holidays a little brighter for families in need through the Adopt a Family Program. Our warehouses have opened and there are still 40 families awaiting adoption. You can be the difference this winter by calling today. We encourage individuals, businesses, clubs, and churches to open their hearts by providing gift certificates or financial contributions. For more information call the adoption line at (831) 427-5075.
