Ronda Rousey defeated Julia Budd

Ronda Rousey defeated Julia Budd

FIGHT RESULTS Ronda Rousey defeated Julia Budd via armbar in just 39 seconds at Strikeforce Challengers, but there was no controversy this time. Rousey has stated that she’d like to cut to 135 to fight Meisha Tate (or Sarah Kaufman).

Jessica “Jag” Aguilar missed weight for her bout against Lisa Ellis at Bellator 58. Aguilar won the fight by decision and then called out Megumi Fuji, widely believed to be the top fighter at 115. (Better make that weight next time, then!)

Tandi Schaeffer defeated Amanda LaVoy by unanimous decision at Showdown Fights: Evolution.

Angela Hayes defeated Trisha Clark by 1st round guillotine at NME Fighting: Annihilation 36.

Ashley Cummins was successful in her professional debut, defeating Chelsea Colarelli by RNC in the 5th round and winning the 115-lb. title at XFL: Xtreme Fight Night.

Yana Kunitskaya defeated Arune Lauzeckaite by 1st round TKO at Bushido: Hero’s World GP Lithuania.

Hatice Ozyurt defeated Lena Buytendijk by decision at Battle Under the Tower in the Netherlands.

Jasminka “Holy Terror” Cive defeated Lilla Vincze by knockout at Cage Fight Series 6.

KAITLIN YOUNG OUT PROXC 37 BOUT

KAITLIN YOUNG OUT PROXC 37 BOUT

KAITLIN YOUNG OUT PROXC 37 BOUT A planned bout between Kaitlin Young and Milana Dudieva, scheduled for November 9, has been canceled due to disorganization from ProXC.

KAITLIN YOUNG OUT PROXC 37 BOUT

Kaitlin Young withdrew from the fight when the promotion did not provide her with a flight itinerary until Friday, making it impossible to both obtain medicals (which were required to be completed within 10 days of the fight) and secure a Visa in time (which would require an unpaid trip to the Russian Consulate in Seattle, as well as cutting into appointments for medicals). The process would also cut into Young’s training, making it extremely difficult to cut weight, and the organization failed to provide information on how the fighter would arrive in UfA, which is over 700 miles from Moscow.

Marloes Coenen Cut From Strikeforce

Marloes Coenen Cut From Strikeforce

Marloes Coenen Cut From Strikeforce Former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Marloes Coenen was released from her Strikeforce contract, along with Golden Glory teammates Valentijn Overeem and John Einemo… on the heels of Alistair Overeem getting cut.

Marloes Coenen Cut From Strikeforce

Dana White stated that this was because of the way Golden Glory does business, expecting Zuffa to pay the management team rather than the fighters directly. Marloes Coenen stated that this was not the case, and tweeted a photo of a check made out directly to her. White’s real reasoning remains a bit of a mystery.
