Kedzie-Young Weigh-in for Jackson’s MMA Series 4

Julie Kedzie and Kaitlin YoungTwo of the most accomplished fighters prepare to go at it, plus six other women prepare to show their skills in the cage. If you look into the beginnings of Women’s MMA, few names stick out like Julie Kedzie and Kaitlin Young.

They were there when Bodog and Hook’n’Shoot were at the top of their games, and both have impressive wins under their belts.

Now, they finally are facing each other.

Kedzie (15-8) is a staple of Jackson’s MMA ever expanding women’s team, while Young (4-4), who defeated a young Miesha Tate four years ago, is looking to get back on the winning track.

Kedzie weighed in officially at 134.6 and Young at a stout 135.8.

Also on the card, Beckie Lobb makes her amateur debut verses Katrina Branchal at 135 pounds. Lobb, the 43 year old grandmother, look fit and strong, weighing in at 135.2 pounds, while her much smaller opponent held at 127 pounds.

Tuff-n-uff amateur MMA veteran T.J. Cunanan (121.4) makes her pro debut versus Jackson’s own Kelley Renee (125.3).

And rounding out the night will be two debuting Strawweight fighters in Brittany Horton (105) and Jodie Esquibel (105).

All the matches will be streamed live for $10 on the Jackson’s MMA Series website.
