Lana Stefanac Female Fighter Lana Stefanac stamps her ticket to the Abu Dhabi Pro in April. Lana Stefanac (Trinity BJJ) proved once again why she is considered one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners in the world by defeating Tammy Griego (Gracie Barra New Mexico) in the championship match of the over 63kg division of the Abu Dhabi Pro West Qualifying Tournament, held in Santa Cruz, CA this past weekend.

This tournament is a qualifier for the richest and most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu event on the planet, the Abu Dhabi Pro, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, EAU on April 15 to 17. All qualifiers from this tournament win an all expense paid trip to the Abu Dhabi Pro event and a chance to compete with the best grapplers and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes from across the world for the massive $145,000 in cash and prizes.

In the championship match of the under 63kg division, Kiri Liao (Saulo Ribeiro) defeated Denise Henry (Claudio Franca).

Lana was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where she initially discovered her true life passion for the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In 2006 after winning both a gold medal at the Pan American and her debut Pro MMA fight, she relocated to Northern California to progress her journey.

Today Lana Stefanac is a World, Pan American, and US National Champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She is an IBJJF licensed Black Belt who’s achievements include numerous metals, awards, titles, and one phenomenal record.

Notable Accomplishments:
Undefeated in competition from White to Black Belt (Gi) without a point scored against her.
First American to Double Gold Medal in the Mundials (Gi)
Earned her BJJ Black Belt in <5 years.
Awarded “Best Female Grappler” – 2009
