Number one ranked Sarah Kaufman (10-0) and number two ranked Takayo Hashi (12-1) will face off on the ShoMMA’s Strikeforce Challenger’s card Feb. 26 in San Jose, CA, according to the Showtime Sports website.
In a recent interview with Loretta Hunt, Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker stated this will be a title match.
“I think we’re going to be promoting Sarah against Takayo Hashi for our (vacant) 135-pound title,” said Coker.
Although the Strikeforce website has yet to promote the event, speculation is that they want to get through the Jan. 30 card before concentrating on the Feb. 26 card and the Mar. 26 card in Fresno, CA.
